After an early morning quota of your favourite beverage, we begin our sunrise jungle safari at Ranthambore National Park and experience the diverse flora and fauna of the region. With all Explorer’s earnestly hoping for a sighting, we will get a chance to spot the park's most illustrious predator. We return to a sumptuous breakfast and begin the next leg of our drive. We take a midway break for a hearty lunch followed by a visit to the over 1000-year-old Chand Baori stepwell, that extends almost 30 metres into the ground, making it one of the oldest, deepest and largest stepwells in India. We arrive at the heritage Laxmi Vilas Palace hotel at Bharatpur later that evening and, after some rest and recuperation, meet for a night of merriment accompanied with some delicious traditional cuisine.
Explore Keoladeo Ghana National Park and Fatehpur Sikri
We begin our day with an early morning escapade to the Keoladeo Ghana National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A former royal game reserve, the sanctuary is home to over 370 species of birds and animals such as the basking python, painted storks, deer, nilgai and more, and is named after the Keoladeo Temple, located inside its boundary. We return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast before heading off to visit another UNESCO World Heritage site at Fatehpur Sikri, founded as the capital of Mughal Empire in 1571 by Emperor Akbar and famous for its red sandstone architectural marvels. Content with our exploration for the day and after a sumptuous lunch, we begin our drive back to Gurugram. Later that afternoon we bid farewell to our fellow explorers, confident that we will all meet again on yet another quest.
